When is Navratri in 2026?

Sharad Navratri falls on 11 to 19 October 2026, with Dussehra on 20 October. Most garba nights are held on the Friday and Saturday nights inside that window, and touring shows often book the weekends on either side of it.

When is Navratri in 2027?

Sharad Navratri 2027 begins on Thursday 30 September 2027 and runs nine nights to Maha Navami on Friday 8 October, with Dussehra on Saturday 9 October 2027.

First garba? What to know

Wear a chaniya choli, kediyu or kurta if you have one, but nobody is turned away in normal clothes. The steps repeat, so watching one round from the edge is enough to join in. Many events run late, often starting at eight or nine and going past midnight, and many are all ages. Flat shoes you can spin in matter more than the outfit.

Tickets

Ticketed nights sell through the organizer’s own page, and each event on our board links straight to it. Touring-artist shows can sell out ahead of the date, so buy when a listing opens rather than at the door. Community and temple nights are often free or lower priced.

Outfits, jewelry, mehndi and hair are listed further down this page where we have verified local businesses. Mehndi artists fill the garba weekends first, so if you want a specific Friday, ask early.

Yes. Garba nights are open events and newcomers are normal. The steps repeat, so watching one round is all it takes to join in.
